Grappling hook, handforged steel
Ropes equipped with grappling hooks were used in the historical seafaring to fix enemy ships and pull them closer to the own ship, with the aim of finally conquering them. Our replica has three arms, an approx. 8 mm wide eyelet to attach a rope and can also be used for suspending ham, sausage or other kinds of food eg. during drying, smoking or simply for safe storage.
The hook is however made of oxidising material, which is why direct contact with food should be avoided.
