The cappa is a cape-like throw worn by men and women alike in the early and high Middle Ages. It featured a hood and varied in length (from hip- to calf-length). The cappa was a travel garment and protected the wearer in bad weather.

This cappa is just fantastic. It is made of sturdy canvas and fully lined with a light cotton fabric, making it very durable. The simple, oval cut makes the cappa quite voluminous - a belt can be used to create a more body-hugging fit.
The cotton fabric is not water repellent, but can be treated with a waterproofing spray to keep out light rain.

Whether worn a medieval market, a Viking festival or a cosy get-together with friends by the fire - it is ideal for every occasion. If it has to go quickly, it is super easy to throw over.
