Ten Kei can be translated with gift of heaven. It's a symbol for the beauty of nature. Inspired by nature, fine flower motifs are visible in the fittings

The blade has been forged in the complex Kobuse-style. A hard covering made of 1095 high carbon steel encloses a heart of soft low carbon steel. It features a fuller (Bo-Hi). The hilt is covered in rayskin and wrapped with green silk cord (Tsuka-Ito).

The scabbard is laquered in glossy black and equipped with buffalo horn Kojiri, Kurigata and Koiguchi).
