Product information "Iaido Katana"
Iaidō Katana, Dragon King
Iaidō is a Japanese martial art that places special emphasis on the controlled drawing of the sword from the scabbard. The moment of drawing the sword can make the difference between winning and losing. Being bold, decisive and unswerving are the characteristics that a warrior should have.
The mastering of this ancient art requires thousands of hours of practice, until man and sword become one - as natural as breathing but also as powerful as an explosion.
Although this sharpened sword shows the themes of medals (on the kashira) and skulls (tsuba and menuki), the key message here is peace. Skulls and skeletons are not an allegory of death, but a warning of the cruelty of war, and medals are not a symbol of glory, but a testimony to the preservation of peace. Many fearless heroes have sacrificed their lives and done countless meritorious deeds to uphold justice and peace for future generations.
