Product information "Great Helmet (Pembridge Style) circa. 1370, 1.2 mm steel"
Great Helmet (Pembridge Style) 1370 AD
This replica follows the helmet of Sir Richard Pembridge original, displayed in the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh. The "Great Helmet" was often worn over a smaller, lighter helmet (for example secret helmet).
These helmets were common throughout Europe in the middle ages, and numerous contemporary images, miniatures and originals found in Germany, Flanders, England, Italy, Swizerland, Austria, etc. prove the popularity of this helmet type. They were used during the famous battles of Crecy (1346) and Poitiers (1356).
The helmet comes with a comfortable, adjustable leather liner and chin-strap with buckle.
Due to it's little weight this helmet is perfectly for LARP and medieval re-enactment, but if you want to fight with it, we recommend the 2 mm thick, full-combat version (code 1716382901).
Details:
- Material: 1.2 mm steel, leather

- short distance (ear to ear): approx. 20.5 cm
