Atrim Type XIIIa Hand and a Half Sword, Medieval Sword from Kingston Arms
Based on Oakeshott's Type XIIIa specification, these swords were used in the 12th to early 13th century in the transitional period from hardened leather to chain mail with some plate armour to protect vital body parts.
The blade is made of hand-forged, hardened 9260 spring steel, ground flat and finished with a beautiful satin finish. The fittings are made of high quality stainless steel exactly matching the design of Gus Trim. The handle is a solid wood core, cord wrapped for strength with a textured leather wrap. The scabbard is solid wood, with a stainless steel cap and stitched leather wrap.
The sword comes sharpened.
